“Central Park Five vs. Scottsboro Boys”
Compare the two cases (referenced above) on the following aspects in no more
than one page (double-spaced). Label your paragraphs consistent with the labels below.
I) Miscarriage of justice(or not)–be specific about what laws or constitutional rightswere violated–for both Central Park Five and for Scottsboro Boys
II) Your opinion: Is the crime of rape/sexual assault (in the content of these two cases–if the initial reports had been well-founded)–a race crime; a class crime; a gender crime?
III) Role of the press–in each situation?
